ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has launched surveillance to ensure transparency
in return for tax refunds.
Office command is distributed to all Regional Tax Offices (RTOs) and Large Taxpayers Units (LTUs),
The FBR said the Prime Minister had announced a package of assistance for the tax-related sector
a return of Rs100 billion in the industrial sector.
The FBR said that currently a large amount of outstanding tax return claims were pending
replication / processing in each RTO / LTU.
The finance organization also stated that in this emergency the real businesses / industries
they need liquidity to pay salaries to their employees.
The FBR has directed the tax office to process the tax returns as soon as possible
and recovering the appropriate amount from the claimant in terms of each claim.
The FBR has instructed the Chief Commissioner of RTOs / LTUs to monitor the process to be kept
it is also impartial.
Senior commissioners are also directed to report FBR refunds issued daily
